ICYMI: Let’s All Get Woke: Talking About Race with Elementary Students

Hello colleagues!

This past weekend, The Educator Collaborative held their annual EdCollabGathering, a FREE day of professional learning by a variety of distinguished educators all around the world. Aeriale Johnson, Kathy Collins and I had the pleasure of presenting about ways we might incorporate discussions around race with students in our schools and classrooms and why it is crucially important to do so. In case you missed it, I am posting it here for you to view and share:

Please also make sure to check out the other incredible sessions that were offered at #TheEdCollabGathering, all of which are archived on YouTube. (Yay!)

If you find this and/or any of the other sessions offered that day helpful, please consider making a donation to this year’s adopted charity, The Brotherhood Sister Sol, which provides evidence-based programming for young people of color from economically poor communities. The Brotherhood-Sister Sol

Thanks–and enjoy! We welcome any feedback you may have.
